With over 4.000 children, our project in Khunti is one of the biggest program we organize.

Over the past years coaches have joined and left the team. All coaches have participated in the basic coaching course. Additionally, most of the coaches have participated in follow up courses focusing on coaching of a team during games but also, social skills, and first aid.
Coaches are linked per two and coach 30 children per training session. We advised to make a distinction between the coaches and their respective level of coaching. The more experienced and talented coaches have been given a chance to coach the RDC children. In addition, these coaches including the coordinator travel once a month to the Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA) to learn from the coaches in this Hockey Academy. And are being trained to become a trainer of trainers so that any new coaches joining the team can be trained by them.
Grassroots boys and girls train two times per week and play for a period of two months an interschool league, pool winners play the final tournament during the festivities of the hockey festival.
Talented boys and girls are selected for the RDC. The boys RDC was first started in March 2018 after which the girls RDC followed in August 2018. Boys and girls are trained by the better coaches and train on artificial turf to get acquainted with and develop in modern hockey techniques. Once a week the play a match against competitive teams in the area and participate at least two times per year in a national tournament.
