Jurgen cares for childrens’ development and understands that it is not a certainty. Via strategic consultancy agengy Kearney, where he works as a partner, he is active with the foundation IMC Weekendschool.

Years ago he also saw with his own eyes, at the Oscar Foundation in Mumbai, what the power of sports means for childrens personal development and resilience. That was confirmed during a visit to India during the Hockey World Cup, together with Floris Jan in Bhubaneswar in 2018. Right now it is clear that through the activities of the Bovelander Foundation, together with local organizations, the coaches receive a good education (and eventually a job) and great groups of children receive amazing skills, fun and hope.
