In Amritsar relatively young children come into contact with drugs. In cooperation with Navjeevan we trained 6 coaches that give training at 5 community centers where underprivileged children of neighboring villages, who are easy victims of drug (ab)use and other drug related problems, are trained after school hours. Children train two times per week and participate in minimum 2 tournaments per year.
And while our grassroots hockey program brings these children together Navjeevan organizes informational and educational sessions regarding drugs (ab)use and drug related diseases.
