Around the Pro League match between the Netherlands and India, together we held our networking event. In collaboration with the KNHB and Rabobank, we hosted an inspiring program where sport and social impact came together. Three remarkable speakers shared their stories and visions.
After a warm welcome from KNHB Director Erik Gerritsen, we heard from Erik Versnel on behalf of Rabobank, Mark Sutch from IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd), and finally Floris Jan Bovelander representing the foundation. It was wonderful to see everyone speak about India with the same passion and enthusiasm.
After these inspiring talks, we enjoyed the exciting match between the Netherlands and India, which ended in a narrow 3–2 win for the Netherlands.
We closed the day with a Q&A session featuring international players Floris Wortelboer and Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, opponents on the field that day, but teammates and friends during the last edition of the Hockey India League. A great reminder that hockey is so much more than just a sport.
