Mahindra Rise starts schoolhockey project in Nashik

In July over 450 children, boys and girls, started playing hockey in 12 governmental schools; a new school hockey project in Nashik, Maharashtra, was launched by One Million Hockey Legs in cooperation with Mahindra.

The project was launched in the first week of July 2018 with a coaching course for 12 local trainers. Each trainer is assigned with his own school which they will give training at for 6 weeks. This first phase will be closed with a grand school hockey festival in September. During this 8 week period the children will learn the basics of hockey and are hopefully enthusiast to play and continue in phase 2.

Phase 2 would extend the project with 4-6 months. And ideally more schools and trainers will participate.
